When the new ferry service between Oakland, Alameda and South San Francisco picks up its first official passengers Monday, it'll be fair to say it's been a long time coming.
...The Monday-to-Friday service will connect workers who live in the East Bay with their jobs at the group of such biotechnology companies in the area as Genentech, and others, like UPS, that have hubs on the Peninsula. Genentech said it's "pleased" the line is coming, giving another means for its people to get to work." Read article.
