City budget meeting: department mission statements, goals, accomplishments, programs, cost cutting.
The 4/25/12 budget meeting would be worth seeing again for the education value. It was essentially an already completed "work shop" awaiting the city council vote, complete with financial delays built-in until November. The good economic news for us all is that the Beach Boulevard development is moving forward, and hopefully so will the Assisted Living project.

City Manager Steve Rhodes confirmed to council members that if they chose to spend the reserves for six months, there would be ample funding to maintain library hours and maintain funding for the Pacifica Resource Center, Pacifica Community Television and the Visitors Center. The current draft of the budget uses $108,000 to fund those agencies for six months." Read Article.
